V/Line train and coach services will operate to an altered timetable this festive season.

Please plan ahead this festive season.

Wednesday 24 December

V/Line trains and coaches will operate to a normal timetable.

Thursday 25 December, Christmas Day

V/Line trains will operate to a Sunday timetable.

Coach Services

The following V/Line coach services will operate on Christmas Day. All other coach services are cancelled.

Lorne/Apollo Bay

Lorne/Apollo Bay operate to a normal Sunday timetable. The Summer Holiday additional coaches do NOT operate on Christmas Day.

Mildura

Melbourne – Mildura 21:10 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Mildura – Melbourne 22:05 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.

Shepparton/Cobram & Shepparton/Griffith

Shepparton – Cobram 12:03 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Shepparton – Griffith 21:18 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Cobram – Shepparton 05:37 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Griffith – Shepparton 12:04 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.

Leongatha

Melbourne – Leongatha 11:01 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Leongatha – Melbourne 14:44 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.

Cowes

Dandenong – Cowes 09:16 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Dandenong – Cowes 15:14 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Cowes – Dandenong 11:43 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.
Cowes – Dandenong 17:51 will operate to normal Sunday timetable.

Friday 26 December, Boxing Day

V/Line trains will operate to a Saturday timetable for the Boxing Day public holiday.

Scheduled coach services will run to an altered Saturday timetable.

Night coaches will run.

Overland

The Overland will operate on Boxing Day to a Friday timetable.

Capital Link

Canberra – Bairnsdale 09.45 will operate as per Sunday timetable.

Bendigo – Wangaratta

Coach services will operate to a Friday timetable.

Geelong – Apollo Bay

Summer Holiday additional services will operate.

Mildura

Melbourne to Mildura 21.10 will operate as per Friday timetable.
Mildura to Melbourne 22.05 will operate as per Friday timetable.

Mallacoota

Services will operate to a holiday timetable, please check the journey planner for service times.

Wednesday 31 December, New Year's Eve

V/Line trains and coaches will operate to a normal timetable.

Thursday January 2026, New Year's Day

V/Line trains will run to a Saturday timetable for New Year’s Day on Thursday 1 January 2026.

Scheduled coach services will run to an altered Saturday timetable.

The night coach service will not operate on New Year’s Day.

Overland

The Overland service will operate on New Year’s Day to a Thursday timetable.

Capital Link

Bairnsdale – Canberra 11.55 will operate as per Saturday school holiday timetable.

Geelong – Apollo Bay

Summer Holiday additional services will operate.

Mildura

Melbourne to Mildura 21.10 will operate as per Thursday timetable.
Mildura to Melbourne 22.05 will operate as per Thursday timetable.

Mallacoota

Services will operate to a holiday timetable, please check the journey planner for service times.
