Providing a reliable service is important to you. This is why V/Line's performance is measured every month and compensation is offered when we don't meet our targets.

Two performance measures are used - on time running performance (punctuality) and services delivered performance (reliability).

  • Our reliability target is for at least 96 per cent of scheduled services to run.

  • Our punctuality target is 92 per cent. On commuter services punctuality is measured on time to five minutes 59 seconds. On long distance services it is measured on time to 10 minutes 59 seconds.
