Providing a reliable service is important to you. This is why V/Line's performance is measured every month and compensation is offered when we don't meet our targets.
Two performance measures are used - on time running performance (punctuality) and services delivered performance (reliability).
- Our target is for at least 96 per cent of scheduled services to run.
- Our on time target is 92 per cent. On commuter services punctuality is measured on time to five minutes 59 seconds. On long distance services it is measured on time to 10 minutes 59 seconds.
V/Line patronage is up 20 per cent so far in 2015-16 compared with last financial year.
At the same time, we’ve increased our weekday services by 30 per cent and introduced more VLocity trains to help meet the demand.
There are times when all seats are occupied and some customers may need to stand for part of their journey. If you are standing, please hold on and make way for customers to get in and out of the doors at stations. Please avoid sitting on the floor and blocking access to toilets and doorways.
