V/Line is running special services to help fans get to and from major events this Summer.

Thursday 18 December

Big Bash Cricket - Melbourne Stars v Hobart Hurricanes - MCG - from 7.15pm

To the city

Ballarat Line -

Additional train departs Bacchus Marsh at 5.17pm. This train will stop at Melton, Cobblebank, Caroline Springs, arriving at Southern Cross at 6.03pm.

Friday 26 December (services are running to a Saturday timetable)

Boxing Day Test Match – Australia v England – MCG – From 10.30am 


To the city

Geelong Line –

Additional train departs South Geelong at 7.58am. This train will stop at North Geelong, Lara, Wyndham Vale, Tarneit, arriving at Southern Cross at 9.00am.

Additional train departs Wyndham Vale at 9.13am. This train will stop at Tarneit, Deer Park, arriving at Southern Cross at 9.48am.

Ballarat Line –

Additional train departs Ballarat at 7.40am. This train will stop at Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Cobblebank, Rockbank, Caroline Springs, Deer Park, Ardeer, arriving at Southern Cross at 9.18am.

Bendigo Line –

Additional train departs Kyneton at 7.58am. This train will stop at Woodend, Macedon, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Clarkefield, arriving at Southern Cross at 9.12am.

From the city

Geelong Line –

Additional train departs Southern Cross at 6.00pm. This train will stop at Tarneit, Wyndham Vale, Lara, North Geelong, Geelong, arriving at South Geelong at 7.06pm.

Additional train departs Southern Cross at 6.40pm. This train will stop at Deer Park, Tarneit, arriving at Wyndham Vale at 7.16pm.

Ballarat Line –

Additional train departs Southern Cross at 6.15pm. This train will stop at Ardeer, Deer Park, Caroline Springs, Rockbank, Cobblebank, Melton, Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, arriving at Ballarat at 7.48pm.

Bendigo Line –

Additional train departs Southern Cross at 6.20pm. This train will stop at Clarkefield, Riddells Creek, Gisborne, Macedon, Woodend, arriving at Kyneton at 7.30pm.
