Planned Service Change

Service changes on the Warrnambool Line

Geelong line
Due to West Tarneit Station works, coaches replace trains for part of the journey on the Warrnambool Line from Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 May.

A temporary timetable will be in place.

Coaches will depart from Southern Cross Station up to 18 minutes earlier than usual train times.
 
Travel to and from the city

To Southern Cross
Catch a train to Geelong, then an express coach to Southern Cross.

From Southern Cross
Catch an express coach from Southern Cross to Geelong, then a train to Warrnambool.

Coaches will not stop at Footscray Station.

From Footscray
First catch a Metro Train (from Platform 5) to Southern Cross, then catch a V/Line replacement coach to Geelong, then catch a train to Warrnambool.

Travel to Marshall and South Geelong stations
Catch a Warrnambool Line train to Waurn Ponds. then transfer to a Geelong Line train to Marshall and Wyndham Vale.

Travel to Geelong, North Geelong, North Shore, Corio, Lara, Little River and Wyndham Vale stations

Catch a Warrnambool Line train to Geelong, then catch a Geelong Line train to stations between North Geelong and Wyndham Vale.

Travel to Tarneit, Deer Park and Sunshine

Travel on a Warrnambool Line train to Geelong, then catch a Geelong Line train to Wyndham Vale,  then catch a replacement bus to Tarneit, Deer Park or Sunshine.

Please note - bikes are not allowed on bus replacement services running between Wyndham Vale and Sunshine.

Please allow extra time for your journey.

General Information  

•    There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
•    Bikes are not allowed on low-floor bus replacement services.
•    No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches.
•    In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
•    Customers with accessibility needs please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
