Service changes on the Geelong Line

Geelong line
Due to West Tarneit Station works, there will be service changes on the Geelong Line from Tuesday night 26 May to Friday 29 May. 

Tuesday 26 May
From 10pm to last service - coaches replace trains for the entire journey between Waurn Ponds and Southern Cross.

Wednesday 27 to 9pm Friday 29 May

Geelong Line trains will run between Waurn Ponds and Wyndham Vale Station only.

Travel advice for passengers at Waurn Ponds, Marshall, South Geelong, Geelong, North Geelong, North Shore, Corio, Lara, Little River, Wyndham Vale stations

To Southern Cross or Footscray
Catch a shuttle bus between Wyndham Vale and Werribee Station, then a Werribee Line Metro train between Werribee and Southern Cross.

To stations between Tarneit and Sunshine
Catch a shuttle bus.

Travel advice for passengers at Tarneit Station

To Southern Cross or Footscray
Catch a shuttle bus between Tarneit and Laverton Station, then a Werribee Line Metro train between Laverton and Southern Cross.
 
To stations between Wyndham Vale and Sunshine
Catch a shuttle bus.
 
To stations between Little River and Waurn Ponds 
Catch a shuttle bus to Wyndham Vale, then a Geelong Line train.

To Footscray
Catch a shuttle bus to Sunshine, then a Sunbury Line train.

To city
Catch a shuttle bus to Sunshine, then a Sunbury Line train to State Library or Town Hall stations.

To Southern Cross
Catch a shuttle bus to Sunshine, then a Sunbury Line train to Footscray, then a Werribee Line train to Southern Cross.

To Tarneit or Wyndham Vale
Catch a shuttle bus.

To stations between Little River and Waurn Ponds
Catch a shuttle bus to Wyndham Vale, then a Geelong Line train.

Please note - bikes are not allowed on bus replacement services.
 
From 9pm to last service Friday 29 May
 
From 9pm coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Wyndham, connecting with trains between Wyndham Vale and Waurn Ponds.

Please note - If you are travelling home from the city after this time your service will depart from the coach terminal at Southern Cross Station.
 
A temporary timetable will be in place.

General Information
•    There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
•    Bikes are not allowed on low-floor bus replacement services.
•    No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches.
•    Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
•    In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
•    Customers with accessibility needs please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
