Service changes on the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines

Ballarat line
Due to Melton Line Upgrade works, there will be service changes on the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines from Wednesday 27 May to last service Friday 29 May.
 
All Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough line trains will originate and terminate at Bacchus Marsh Station.
 
Travel advice for passengers at Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Ballarat, Wendouree, Beaufort, Ararat, Creswick, Clunes, Talbot, Maryborough stations
 
To Southern Cross
Catch an express coach between Bacchus Marsh and Southern Cross.
 
To stations between Melton and Sunshine
Catch a stopping all stations bus between Bacchus Marsh and Sunshine.
 
To Footscray
First catch an express coach to Southern Cross, then a Metro train to Footscray.

To Footscray or the city
Catch a bus to Watergardens, then a Sunbury Line Metro train to Footscray, State Library or Town Hall stations.

To Southern Cross
Catch a shuttle bus to Watergardens, then a Sunbury Line train to Footscray, then a Werribee Line train to Southern Cross.
 
Travel advice for passengers at Cobblebank, Rockbank, Caroline Springs, Deer Park and Ardeer stations
 
To Footscray or the city
Catch a bus to Sunshine, then a Sunbury Line Metro train to Footscray, State Library or Town Hall stations.

To Southern Cross
Catch a shuttle bus to Sunshine, then a Sunbury Line train to Footscray, then a Werribee Line train to Southern Cross.
 
To Ballarat, Ararat or Maryborough
Catch a bus to Bacchus Marsh, then a V/Line train.
 
Please allow additional time for your journey.
 
Temporary timetables will be in place.
 
If your trip includes a connection with Metro Train services, check arrival and departure times by using the Transport Victoria journey planner at transport.vic.gov.au/journey or the mobile app.

Please note - bikes are not allowed on bus replacement services.

General Information
•    There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
•    Bikes are not allowed on low-floor bus replacement services.
•    No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches.
•    Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
•    In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
•    Customers with accessibility needs please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
