Coaches replace Warrnambool Line trains for part of the journey

Due to Metro Tunnel Project works, coaches replace trains for part of the journey on the Warrnambool Line on Saturday 11 July.

A temporary coach replacement timetable will be in place.

Express coaches will run between Geelong and Southern Cross. Warrnambool Line trains will run between Warrnambool and Geelong.

Coaches will depart Southern Cross Station up to 36 minutes earlier than usual train times to connect with trains at Geelong.

Coaches will not stop at Footscray Station.

Passengers travelling to or from Footscray:

To Footscray – first catch an express coach to Southern Cross, then transfer to a replacement service to Footscray.

From Footscray - first catch a replacement service to Southern Cross, then transfer to a Warrnambool Line express coach.

Passengers traveling to North Geelong, North Shore, Corio, Lara, Little River or Wyndham Vale:
Travel on a Warrnambool Line train to Geelong and on a Geelong Line train between Geelong and Wyndham Vale.

Geelong Line trains will be replaced by coaches between Wyndham Vale and Southern Cross.

There will also be disruptions on the Geelong, Ballarat, Ararat, Maryborough, Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill lines as well as the Sunbury, Werribee and Williamstown lines.

The replacement coach terminal at Southern Cross Station will be extremely busy on Saturday 11 July.

Please allow extra time for your journey, follow directional signage and listen for announcements.

There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services
No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches
Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare
In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street
