Coaches replace Geelong Line trains for part of the journey

Geelong line

Maintenance and upgrade works will take place along the Geelong Line from Saturday 11 April to Friday 24 April.

During this time coaches will replace trains between Wyndham Vale and Waurn Ponds. Trains will run between Wyndham Vale and Southern Cross.

Changes to night services - Sunday 12 to Tuesday 14 April

From 8.30pm to last service each night - coaches will replace trains for the entire journey between Southern Cross and Waurn Ponds.

Important message for passengers connecting with regional coaches along the Geelong Line – if your journey begins at Southern Cross, Footscray, Sunshine, Deer Park, Tarneit or Wyndham Vale, please allow plenty of extra time to make your coach connection at Geelong Station.

Please allow an additional 40 minutes travel time for your journey.

General Information

There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services
No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches
Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare
In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street
