Major delay - Geelong line

UPDATE: 05:40

There will be disruptions to services on the Geelong Line this morning following yesterday’s rail equipment fault between Wyndham Vale and Little River.

The fault has been rectified, however, a number of morning services may be impacted as a result of trains being out of position.

The following services will run at a reduced capacity:
04:33 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
04:57 South Geelong - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
06:10 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
06:28 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
06:40 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
06:56 Marshall - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
06:59 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages) 
07:21 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service (3 carriages)

Coaches are on standby at key locations to support services where required.

Passengers should plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys. Passengers are asked to check station platform displays and listen for announcements, and allow additional time for their journey.

We thank passengers for their patience and understanding.

General information

  • In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.

  • No pets allowed on replacement coaches.

  • There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.

  • Customers needing special assistance please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
