Traralgon

Traralgon

Traralgon is one of the largest towns in Gippsland and offers a wide variety of activities to suit the whole family.

The town centre features relics dating back to the Victorian gold rush, such as the grand Traralgon Post Office, Ryan's Hotel and Ostler House buildings. Dotted throughout the town are sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shopping arcades, open every day of the week.

If you prefer a summer picnic, Traralgon has beautiful gardens where you can unfurl your rug and kick off your shoes. Pay a visit to the spectacular Victory Park with its decadent marble sculptures and perfectly manicured gardens, or a stroll over the creek along the footbridge leads to Newman Park which features a huge adventure playground.

Once the sun sets, Traralgon has plenty of options for music and comedy. Head to one of the many bars to watch a local band or check out a live show at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.

Traralgon boasts an impressive line up of events, including the Traralgon Golf Pro Am in February, the Traralgon Agriculture Show in November and the legendary Traralgon Cup Country Race Day in late November.

There is no shortage of accommodation options to suit every budget, so why not make a weekend of it and enjoy everything that this bustling country town has to offer?
