Colac

Colac

Situated amongst Victoria’s beautiful Otway Ranges, Colac is an easy and rewarding day trip with plenty to see and do.

Take a stroll down Murray Street, the town’s key shopping precinct, and explore a mix of big brand stores and family-run small businesses. There are plenty of great cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs lining the streets.

Food lovers will delight in the delicious dairy products grown in the region, which can be sampled in the local eating spots. Go for a walk around the picturesque Lake Colac, located a few minutes from the town centre.

Every March the town bursts into life with the annual Colac Kana Festival, which features a colourful street parade and plenty of activities for all ages.

The Colac Show in November is also popular, providing a real taste of the country, with horse riding, grand parades, tractors, rides and, of course, show bags!
