Shepparton Art Museum

Shepparton Art Museum
The Shepparton Art Museum, known as ‘SAM’, stands apart from a host of fine Victorian regional galleries for its significant collection of Australian and international ceramics. The collection includes pieces made by convict potters, to items from Australia’s early commercial potteries, to contemporary works.

Additionally, SAM proudly boasts many paintings from the famed Heidelberg School, including those of McCubbin, Streeton, von Guerard and Fox. Unique here is their depiction of local scenes. Check the website and time your visit to coincide with an event, children’s program or workshop, which SAM hosts regularly as part of an impressive calendar of activities.

Conveniently located in the middle of town, pre or post art perusal, be sure to avail yourself of any number of Shepparton’s fine eating establishments!
