Old Gippstown, located in the Latrobe Valley city of Moe, faithfully captures the spirit and times of 1850s Gippsland. Featuring a collection of authentic and faithfully recreated heritage buildings typical of the region, Old Gippstown successfully keeps Gippsland’s pioneering flame burning.
Of particular delight and significance is the Coach House, which protects one of Victoria’s best collections of horse-drawn vehicles. Additionally, if heritage farm machinery is of interest, a range of and horse and steam driven machinery is on display.
See the period general store, book the Tynong Theatre in advance to view the old movie reels and lock up the kids in the local police station! Upon return to the station, drop into the Moe town centre for some good coffee and a bite to eat.
