Temporary train timetable on the Ararat Line

18 May - 22 Aug 2026

Ballarat line

Due to track upgrade works, temporary speed restrictions will be in place on the Ararat Line from Monday 18 May to Saturday 22 August.

Trains will run at slower than normal speeds between Ararat and Wendouree to allow the tracks to bed down.

There will be changes to some departure times so please plan ahead and check the temporary train timetable or journey planner before you travel.

Trains to the city

All trains to the city will depart 3 minutes earlier from Ararat and Beaufort stations.

From the city
All trains from the city will arrive 3 minutes later than usual train times.
