Temporary train timetable on the Echuca Line

9 Mar - 31 Mar 2026

Following major works, temporary speed restrictions will be in place on the Echuca Line until Tuesday 31 March.

During this time, trains will run at slower than normal speeds between Bendigo and Sunbury to allow the tracks to bed down.

There will be changes to arrival and departure times so please plan ahead and check the temporary train timetable or journey planner before you travel.

Until Monday 16 March

Trains to the city

All Echuca Line trains to the city will depart stations up to 3 minutes earlier.

Please note:

The weekday 7.23am Echuca to Southern Cross train will arrive at Southern Cross 20 minutes later.
The weekend 7.25am Echuca to Southern Cross trains will arrive at Southern Cross 10 minutes later.

Trains to Echuca

All trains travelling towards Echuca will arrive up to 5 minutes later.

Tuesday 17 March to Tuesday 31 March

Trains to the city

All Echuca Line trains to the city will depart stations up to 7 minutes earlier.

Trains to Echuca

All trains travelling towards Echuca will arrive up to 18 minutes later.
