Coaches replace Warrnambool Line trains for part of the journey

Maintenance and upgrade works will take place along the Warrnambool Line from Friday night 10 April to Friday 24 April.

Coaches will continue to replace trains between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool from Saturday 25 April to Monday 4 May and from Friday 8 May to Wednesday 20 May, while works are completed on a stabling facility at Warrnambool Station. 

Friday night 10 April - service changes
The 5.09pm and 7.25pm Southern Cross to Warrnambool trains will terminate at Waurn Ponds, coaches will run from Waurn Ponds to Warrnambool.

Saturday 11 April to Friday 24 April 

Coaches replace trains between Warrnambool and Wyndham Vale. Trains will run between Wyndham Vale and Southern Cross.



Saturday 25 April to Monday 4 May and Friday 8 May to Wednesday 20 May

Coaches replace trains between Warrnambool and Waurn Ponds. Trains will run between Waurn Ponds and Southern Cross.

Coaches will depart from Warrnambool Line stations up to 30 minutes earlier than usual train times.


Trains will run from Tuesday 5 May to Thursday 7 May 
 
Warrnambool trains will resume running between Warrnambool and Waurn Ponds from Tuesday 5 May to Thursday 7 May.

This is to support passengers travelling to the Warrnambool Racing Carnival.

Trains to the city will depart stations 5 minutes earlier than usual time.

Passengers are advised to check the temporary timetables before travelling:
 
  • View temporary timetable - 11 to 24 April 
  • Teemporary timetable - 25 April to 5 May - coming soon 
  • View the temporary train timetable - 5 to 7 May
  • Temporary timetable - 8 to 20 May - coming soon

General Information  
  • There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services
  • No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches
  • Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare
  • In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street
