Coaches replace evenings on the Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines

Gippsland line
Due to Metro Tunnel Project works, coaches replace evening Traralgon and Bairnsdale line trains for part of the journey on Thursday 2 October.
 
Thursday 2 October

From Southern Cross Station:

From 8:30pm to last service – coaches will replace trains from Southern Cross to East Pakenham. Trains will run from East Pakenham to Traralgon.

From Traralgon:

From 6:30pm to last service – trains will terminate at East Pakenham. Coaches will replace trains from East Pakenham to Southern Cross.

From Bairnsdale:

The 6.05pm Bairnsdale to Southern Cross service will terminate at East Pakenham. Coaches will run from East Pakenham to Southern Cross.
 
Coaches will not stop at Flinders Street, Richmond, Clayton or Berwick stations.

Please allow an additional 60 minutes’ travel time for your journey.

General Information  
  • There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
  • No pets or hot food allowed on replacement coaches.
  • Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
  • The Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
  • Coaches will not stop at Clayton Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Dandenong.
  • Coaches will not stop at Richmond Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Southern Cross Station or Caulfield.
