Line suspension - Geelong line

UPDATE: 23:10

Services have resumed between Lara and Waurn Ponds. We anticipate minimal delays following an earlier accident between a train and a vehicle at North Shore level crossing.

The following services have been altered:

To Southern Cross:

  • The 17:27 Warrnambool - Southern Cross service will terminate at North Shore.
  • The 20:01 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.
  • The 20:21 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at North Shore.
  • The 20:41 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.
  • The 21:01 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.
  • The 21:21 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.
  • The 22:01 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.
  • The 22:41 Waurn Ponds - Southern Cross service will originate at Lara.

From Southern Cross: 

  • The 19:10 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at North Shore.
  •  The 19:30 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 19:50 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 20:10 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 20:30 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 20:50 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 21:10 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will terminate at Lara.
  • The 21:55 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service has been reinstated and will depart late at 22:30. 
  • The 22:40 Southern Cross - Waurn Ponds service will not run today.

We are assessing the situation and will advise when trains will resume.

General information

  • In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.

  • No pets allowed on replacement coaches.

  • There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.

  • Customers needing special assistance please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
