Additional Geelong services after the footy

Geelong line
AFL Round 1 kicks off at the MCG with games on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March.

Additional trains on the Geelong Line will be in place to help get you home after the games.
 
Passengers travelling on the Geelong Line after the footy can catch the following trains from Southern Cross Station:

Thursday 16 March – Richmond v Carlton

10.53pm, arriving at South Geelong at 12.02am (stopping all stations except Footscray and Sunshine)

Friday 17 March – Geelong v Collingwood

11.05pm, arriving at Waurn Ponds at 12.22am (stopping all stations except Footscray, Sunshine and Little River)
11.20pm, arriving at Waurn Ponds at 12.37am (stopping all stations except Footscray and Sunshine)
11.50pm, arriving at Waurn Ponds at 1.07am (stopping all stations except Footscray and Sunshine)

Additional Round 1 information:

Please note, at various times from Saturday 18 to Tuesday 21 March, coaches replace trains on the Geelong and Warrnambool lines for part of the journey. The additional footy trains on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March will not be affected by this disruption. Please plan ahead and check the coach replacement timetable if you're planning on attending games on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March.
