Regional Rail Link has arrived

Published: Mon 1 Jun 2015

Find out the changes taking place across the network

From Sunday 21 June 2015, V/Line has new timetables across the network.

There are major changes to the Geelong line, as trains start operating on the
Regional Rail Link tracks from West Werribee Junction to Deer Park for the first time.

Most trains will stop at the new Wyndham Vale and Tarneit stations.

Be one of the first to catch a train along the new RRL tracks to or from Geelong this Sunday:

Waurn Ponds to Southern Cross - 6.37am (stopping at Wyndham Vale at 7.20am and Tarneit at 7.27am)

Southern Cross to Waurn Ponds - 7.50am (stopping at Tarneit at 8.14am and Wyndham Vale at 8.22am)

For Wyndham Vale and Tarneit locals who want to try the new train line there will be an additional "opening day special" train running from Wyndham Vale to Southern Cross at 10.49am.

An additional "opening day special" train will depart Southern Cross for Wyndham Vale at 4.40pm. Plan your journey by visiting vline.com.au

The new Ballarat line timetable provides an additional train to Melbourne in the morning peak from Ballarat and from Melbourne to Ballarat in the afternoon peak.

There are also four additional peak trains for Bacchus Marsh Station on weekdays , three in the AM peak to Melbourne and one in the PM peak to Bacchus Marsh.

There will be a 30 minute frequency during the day on weekdays between Southern Cross and Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Deer Park and Ardeer.

All of these changes are an important step towards delivering better train services for our customers and are part of the $3.65 billion Regional Rail Link project.

There will be minor timetable alterations to Bendigo, Traralgon, Seymour, long-distance lines and V/Line coach services.
