The Wangaratta Art Gallery distinguishes itself from its regional peers in showcasing textile art, small sculpture, wood and significant works of art from Victoria’s north-east, as well as works of national and international significance.
Located a short walk from the busy commercial heart of town, the Gallery has a jam-packed annual calendar of over 30 exhibitions, each of which run for approximately one month. Go to the website and plan your trip in advance to catch a workshop, or educational programme for the kids during the holidays.
Before the mandatory post-gallery coffee and snack, be sure to visit the Gallery Shop. A fine range of art works are available for sale, many by exhibited artists.
