You’ll save at least 25% if you buy your V/Line Airshow public transport ticket online. The return ticket includes train travel to Lara Station from any station on the Geelong line. A high frequency shuttle bus will then transport passengers from Lara Station to the Airshow at Avalon Airport. Extra train services will also run on the Geelong line during this time to make it easier for ticket holders to get to and from the event.

What does the V/Line Airshow Express public transport ticket include?

The ticket includes return travel to the Airshow by V/Line train and shuttle bus. Ticket holders will catch a V/Line train to Lara Station from any station on the Geelong line between Southern Cross and Waurn Ponds. From Lara, a shuttle bus will transport passengers directly to the Airshow at Avalon Airport.

Why can I only purchase return travel from stations on the Geelong line to the Airshow?

The ticket is only valid on the Geelong line to keep fare costs equitable for all travellers. If travelling beyond the Geelong line, you can travel as normal to Southern Cross and then use your Airshow ticket to travel the rest of the distance from Melbourne to the Airshow.

What if I’m travelling from somewhere else in Victoria?

Customers travelling with V/Line from other locations in regional Victoria will pay the normal fare to Lara, plus the cost of the shuttle bus from Lara station to the Airshow.

No, the V/Line Airshow Express public transport ticket only includes the cost of transport. Tickets to the Airshow must be purchased separately with Ticketmaster.
