Geelong: Recent improvements in V/Line’s service reliability on the Geelong line have continued in March despite challenges including a signal fault in the metropolitan section during the morning peak. Ballarat: Ballarat line punctuality was impacted in March when a car pushed a boom gate into the path of a train at Melton, stopping all trains in both directions during the busy morning peak. Bendigo: Punctuality for March fell slightly, affected by delays where V/Line shares sections of the track with Metro trains, as well as by train faults. Seymour: V/Line’s Seymour and Shepparton lines have continued to deliver strong reliability of service in March, with delivery results among the highest on the regional rail network. Gippsland: Reliability of V/Line services on the Gippsland line was above the 12-month average in March – with 98.6 per cent of scheduled services delivered for the month.
Warrnambool: V/Line is delivering a $10 million upgrade to 20 passive level crossings along the Warrnambool to remove the temporary speed restrictions in place since an incident in Pirron Yallock in 2016.
Geelong line: More Geelong line trains arrived at their destination on time in April, following a $4.4 million construction blitz over the April school holidays.
Ballarat line: Ballarat line services have seen a boost in reliability in April, while trespassers continue to affect the on time running of trains on the regional network's second busiest line. Bendigo line: The Bendigo line has recorded its best punctuality and reliability figures in almost six months. Seymour/Shepparton line: Seymour and Shepparton were among the best performing lines across the V/Line network last month. Gippsland line: Reliabilty of V/Line services on the Gippsland line jumped in April.
Albury line: The on-time running and reliability of Albury services improved sharply in April, following major maintenance works on the line. Warrnambool line: More Warrnambool services arrived at their destination on time in April, following a maintenance blitz over the April school holidays.
