There are a number of discounts available to regular and occasional travellers:

Commuter faresCommuters can save money by purchasing date-to-date (cheapest ticket available), weekly, monthly and Zone B yearly tickets.

Off peak travelNon-commuters can get our cheapest fares by travelling at off-peak times.

Family TravellerUp to two children (4-16 years old) travel FREE per fare-paying adult at off-peak times. Children under 4 travel free at all times.

Concession fares apply for any additonal children.

Concession faresChildren (4-16 years-old) are entitled to concession fares. Children under 4 travel free.

Students and seniors who hold a valid concession card for travel on Victorian public transport and are also eligible to discounted, concession fares.

Group travelGroups of 12 or more people travelling together on V/Line services travel at a reduced rate (subject to availability).

The fare charged for the group is the concession fare, multiplied by the number of passengers.
