Getting there

Closest station/stop

To access Halls Gap using V/Line services, visitors can take the train to Ararat, then transfer to a coach service that runs to Halls Gap. It’s also possible to catch a train from Melbourne to Ballarat, a coach from Ballarat to Stawell, and then another coach from Stawell to Halls Gap. The journey takes approximately 3.5 – 5 hours from Melbourne, depending on the services you take to get there.
