Some V/Line timetables will change when the temperature is predicted to hit 36 degrees. Find your extreme heat timetable here.

During the summer months, parts of V/Line’s network can be subject to extremely hot temperatures.
When the temperature rises to 36 degrees Celsius or above, we take extra precautions to make sure our train services run reliably and safely.

On these days of extreme heat, affected lines will run to a different timetable called an Extreme Heat Timetable. Click on the link below to download the Extreme Heat Timetable for your line.

When an Extreme Heat Timetable is in place, journey times may be extended by a few minutes and some services will be replaced by air-conditioned coaches for all or part of the journey.

All you need to do on days when it’s forecast to be really hot, is check the V/Line website, download the V/Line App before you travel or download the Extreme Heat Timetable for your line from the link below to help plan your journey. You can also ask for a copy of the timetable at your local station.
