Melbourne Cricket Ground
Richmond and Jolimont stations are the closest to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Click here
to download a map with all the options for getting to and from the MCG using metropolitan trains and trams. On game days, fans can use any of the four entrances to Richmond station.
From Southern Cross Station take a Metro train to Richmond Station. From there, the ground is well within walking distance.
When Geelong is playing at the MCG, some of our trains will travel straight to Richmond Station, so you don't need to change to Metro services at Southern Cross Station. Our special footy timetables show which services operate directly to Richmond.
At Southern Cross Station, simply change to a Metro train on the Hurstbridge or South Morang lines. The MCG is a five minute walk from the station.
You can also catch a tram to the MCG using Route 48 via Collins Street to Stop 11 on Clarendon Street, or along Flinders Street on Route 70 to Stop 7B (Rod Laver Arena/MCG) or Route 75 to Stop 11 on Clarendon Street.
Your valid myki or V/Line paper ticket includes travel on metropolitan trams, trains and buses.

Etihad Stadium is just a four minute walk from Southern Cross Station, across the Bourke Street pedestrian bridge. Take the escalator or lift from the Bourke Street end of the platform when you arrive at Southern Cross.
