Due to Metro works, coaches will replace trains for part of the journey from Friday night 22 January until the last service on Sunday 24 January.
Friday 22 January
From Southern Cross:
The 8.34pm, 9.54pm, 11.01pm and 11.59pm services from Southern Cross Station to Traralgon will be replaced by coaches from Southern Cross to Pakenham then connect with a train to Traralgon.
From Traralgon:
The 6.53pm, 7.46pm and 8.21pm services from Traralgon to Southern Cross Station will run as a train between Traralgon and Pakenham then be replaced by coaches between Pakenham and Southern Cross.
From Bairnsdale:
The 6.15pm service from Bairnsdale to Southern Cross Station will run as a train between Bairnsdale and Traralgon, connecting with coaches between Traralgon and Southern Cross Station.
Saturday 23 January and Sunday 24 January
All Traralgon and Bairnsdale services will be replaced by coaches between Southern Cross Station and Pakenham, then connect with trains between Pakenham and Traralgon/Bairnsdale.
Due to construction work at Flinders Street Station, V/Line coaches will not drop off or pick up passengers at Flinders Street Station from 7pm. Coaches will only arrive and depart from Southern Cross Station.
Please allow an additional 60 minutes’ travel time for your journey.

General Information
- There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
- No pets or hot food allowed on replacement coaches.
- Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
- In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from:
- The Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street;
- Coaches will not stop at Flinders Street Station. Please take a metro service to Southern Cross Station.
- Coaches will not stop at Clayton Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Dandenong.
- Coaches do not stop at Richmond Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Southern Cross Station or Caulfield.
