Seymour buggy turns one

The Seymour community joined in first birthday celebrations for the town’s popular buggy service last week.
A barbecue was held at Seymour Station to mark the occasion, with V/Line staff, volunteers and the community attending the festivities.
In its first year of operation, the Travellers Aid buggy service helped more than 2400 customers transfer between train and bus services.
“It has been a wonderful partnership between V/Line, Travellers Aid and Community Accessibility,” Regional Manager Jonathan McKeown said.
“Our customers tell us they love using the buggy service because it’s easier for them to move around the station.”
Seymour is the only regional train station to offer the service, which is operated by 11 volunteer drivers who have played a major part in its overwhelming success.
The buggy service operates at Seymour Station on Monday to Friday between 10am and 6:30pm.
