Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields

10 Jan - 19 Jan 2020
Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields

January is a great time in Ballarat and an ideal time to visit this historic city! Historic and modern venues are alive with the sound of wonderful music.

For ten days, from Friday 10 January until Sunday 19 January, there is a wonderful Festival of Fine Music, run by Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields. The festival has been running for twenty-five years and is fortunate to have as the Musical Director, Sergio de Pieri, OAM.

In 2020, a wide range of Australian and international artists will be performing such as Genevieve Lacey, Massimo Scattolin, Sergio de Pieri, Elisabetta Ghebbioni, Stefan Cassomenos, Sally-Anne Russell and the Australian Chamber Choir plus many more.

Many of these musicians have performed at previous festivals and are returning to celebrate the 2020 Festival. There is a wide variety of fine music performed on an array of musical instruments such as organ, guitar, harp and choral.

A social highlight in 2020 will be a dinner, catered for by Stefano de Pieri, Sergio’s brother from Mildura.
