If you travel into Melbourne with V/Line, you'll get included metropolitan travel at no extra cost. You also get access to regional bus services. See included metropolitan travel for more information.

Travelling with V/Line in Zones 1 & 2We stop at 17 metropolitan train stations which are 'restricted' i.e. we only pick up passengers heading away from Melbourne or drop off passengers heading towards Melbourne.
Passengers wishing to travel only between these stations should use Metro trains.
Additionally, we stop at 7 metropolitan stations where you can travel between these locations and Melbourne using a myki.

Ballarat line: North Melbourne, Footscray, Sunshine
Bendigo line: North Melbourne, Footscray, Sunshine, Ginifer, St Albans & Watergardens (Sydenham)
Geelong line: North Melbourne, Footscray, Newport, Werribee
Gippsland line: Flinders Street, Richmond, Caulfield, Clayton, Dandenong & Berwick
Seymour line: North Melbourne, Essendon, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn*
Zone 2 stationsYou can travel between Melbourne and the following Zone 2 stations using either a myki:
Bendigo line: Diggers Rest, Sunbury
Gippsland line: Pakenham
Ballarat line: Ardeer, Deerk Park, Rockbank & Melton
Seymour line: * Craigieburn on the two early morning, Monday to Friday services shown in the timetable
