Network Access Pricing

On 17 June 2009 the Essential Services Commission (ESC) approved a new Access Arrangement, including an Access Agreement, for the operation of freight trains on V/Line’s Network.

The Minister for Public Transport recently announced that rebates supporting rail freight would be extended for twelve months.  The rebate for (bulk) grain trains will be paid as a reduction in V/Line’s access charges.  Details of this change are being finalised with the Department of Transport and will be notified shortly.
