* Gippsland customers who hold periodical tickets are eligible for
compensation in the form of a complimentary return V/Line ticket this month,
due to a signal fault on the Pakenham line.
Targets
Reliable
service is important to our customers, which is why V/Line's performance is
measured each month and compensation is paid when our targets are not met.
Two
performance measures are used - services run (reliability) and services on
time (punctuality):
- Our
target is for at least 96% of scheduled services to run
- Our on
time target is 92%
Ø
on
short distance, commuter services [interurban] punctuality is measured on time to
5 minutes 59 seconds
Ø
on
long distance services [intercity] it is measured on time to 10 minutes 59 seconds
Compensation
If your line did not meet its punctuality or reliability target and you have a
valid periodical ticket of four weeks or more, you are eligible for a
complimentary return V/Line ticket as compensation. All compensation claims
must include a valid ticket and be made in writing to:
