How busy is my train?
Below is a general guide to the average number of seats available (as a percentage) and capacity on peak Ballarat line trains in September.

If you have flexibility in travel times, consider taking a train that's less busy for a more comfortable trip.

Seating numbers are an average to reflect any increase / decrease in carriages during the month. Carriage configuration and the number of seats can change on a daily basis. Please note that average capacity is also a monthly average and can fluctuate on a daily basis.

myki news

myki may now be used in Zones 1 + 2 throughout Melbourne, including to and from Ardeer, Deer Park, Rockbank and Melton stations on V/Line trains. You can also use myki on Ballarat town buses. It's expected myki will be introduced to V/Line services beyond Zone 2 throughout 2011.

Until further advised, please continue to use V/Line tickets to / from all other Ballarat line destinations. Future myki zones will be:

Zone 2 - Bacchus Marsh (* myki not currently available to this station)
Zone 4 - Ballan
Zone 8 - Ballarat / Wendouree
Zone 12 - Beaufort
Zone 13 - Maryborough
Zone 17 - Ararat
