Updated 21 Feb
V/Line is introducing a new timetable for services between Seymour and Albury / Wodonga to reflect new train running times on the line.
Deteriorated track conditions between Seymour and Albury have forced the need to reduce train speeds from 115 kph to 80 kph and run road coaches in the place of some trains between Wangaratta and Albury.
- For more information about track upgrade options currently being considered, please read V/Line's media release.
The revised timetable will be in place from Monday 25 February until further notice.
Services from Melbourne to Seymour and Shepparton are not affected, except for the 15:25 weekday Seymour to Melbourne service, which will now depart at 15:34.
People who have already booked to travel from Monday 25 February onwards are advised to please call 136 196 to confirm travel times.
For more details on the altered running times, please download a copy of the new timetable below, visit a staffed V/Line station for a printed copy from Wednesday 27 February, or call 136 196.

Due to the condition of the track between Seymour and Wodonga, customers are advised to allow an extra 30 - 60 minutes travel time between Albury and Melbourne.
Major maintenance is required on this section of track and speed limits have been implemented until works are completed.
Plans to undertake significant maintenance work between Seymour and Wodonga are pending a Government decision about the future of the line.
At the moment, the Government is considering two options: maintenance to the line in its current form (as a broad gauge track that V/Line currently uses); or a major conversion to a standard gauge track (like the one used by CountryLink trains between Melbourne and Sydney). The Government is in negotiations with the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) which currently operates the standard gauge line.
The Shepparton line is not affected.
V/Line will introduce a new timetable over the next couple of weeks to give more certainty to travel times.
V/Line apologises for any inconvenience caused while these speed restrictions are in place.
