Victorian Seniors cardholders are entitled to free economy travel on V/Line as part of the 2008 Victorian Seniors Festival on the following dates:
RESERVATIONS OPEN 10AM TUESDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 2008 To take advantage of the free travel, seniors are encouraged to travel at off peak times to increase the chance of securing a seat. Please try to avoid travelling in the peak when commuters are travelling to and from work.Seniors can only travel economy class as part of the Seniors Free Travel week and First Class travel will incur the normal concession fare. ELIGIBILITYSeniors who are in possession of a Victorian “Seniors Card” or temporary Victorian “Seniors Card” are entitled to free travel. METROPOLITAN FREE TRAVELMetropolitan free travel will be available for 8 days from Sunday 5 October to Sunday 12 October (inclusive) including travel within the MET fare area serviced by V/Line trains to Melton, Sunbury and Craigieburn.NON V/LINE BUS SERVICES IN COUNTRY AREAS Free travel is available from Sunday 5 October to Sunday 12 October (inclusive) on all services on any day (includes all town and urban services in regional centres).
