Beat Mondayitis

12-Jun-2008
Don’t wait 'til Monday to buy your periodical ticket.

You can beat Mondayitis

We all know Monday mornings are a bit of a downer. You’ve slept in, running late for the train and when you arrive at the station to re-new your weekly or monthly ticket, it seems every other person has the same idea.  So you line up with them in front of the booking office hoping you won’t miss your train.

At V/Line, we would like to help you lessen your case of Mondayitis.

Our advice to you is: Don’t wait until Monday to buy your ticket. Buy it on Friday on your way home from work instead – and walk past the booking office queue on Monday morning.

Check out your local station’s opening hours.

How does it work?

You can buy your Monday periodical ticket on the Friday before. All other periodical tickets can be purchased up to two days before travel.

Purchase Day    Valid From Day
Friday                  Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday
Sunday                Sunday, Monday or Tuesday
Monday                Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
Tuesday               Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
Wednesday           Wednesday, Thursday or Friday

You need to show a valid ticket for the days between purchase date and valid date.
