Using our Family Traveller ticket, each adult can take up to 2 kids (4-16
years) free at off peak times.

Traveller makes it affordable to discover Victoria with your family.

Eligibility
Family Traveller tickets can be used by adults (full fare or concession)
travelling with children over 4 and under 17 years of age.
Children
under 4 years old travel free, but they must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian.
The adult
may travel on a concession ticket if they are entitled to do so (see below). Family Traveller
is not available if the adult is using a free pass, privilege ticket,
periodical ticket or free travel voucher.
All
passengers on the Family Traveller ticket must travel together at all times. If
there are more than two children travelling with each adult, additional
children will pay the standard child fare.
Concessions
An adult passenger presenting one of the
following Concession Cards may purchase the Family Traveller ticket:

Peak Concession fares are not available on weekends - Peak Concession fares

Conditions
- Break in Journey: Permitted on Day Return tickets
- The Family Traveller ticket is refundable up to the
day before travel
- The Family Traveller ticket is refundable as total
ticket only, not in part
Cost
The adult passenger pays the applicable off peak or peak fare for their journey.
In the off peak, up to two children travel free per fare-paying adult.
During peak times, adults pay the peak fare for their journey and up to two
children travel for $2.70 for a single journey and $5.40 for a
(same day) return.
First Class Upgrade
Family
Traveller can be upgraded to First Class (where available).
Each adult travelling on the Family Traveller must pay the First Class
upgrade. Children travelling on Family Traveller also travel First Class, but
are not required to pay the First Class Upgrade fee.
Exceptions
The Family Traveller is not valid for the following V/Line coach service:
