Peak and off-peak
We recommend travelling at off-peak times if you can.  Services are quieter, so you're more likely to get a seat. It's around 30% cheaper too.

Peak fares apply for:
  • passengers on services which arrive into Melbourne* before 9am, Mon-Fri
  • passengers on services which depart Melbourne* 4pm - 6pm, Mon-Fri
  • concession card holder who travel on Saturdays and Sundays

* for full details, see peak and off-peak
