If you're a regular user of V/Line, commuter tickets are cheaper and more convenient than buying tickets every day:
Date-to-date (10-52 week ticket) This is the cheapest commuter ticket available. You only need to be making 3 peak, return journeys per week to save money!
Available for a minimum of 10 weeks and a maximum of 52 weeks. This ticket can be used on any service, on any day - including weekends - between the origin and destination printed on the ticket.
Note: not available for Zone B travel - see Zone B Yearly, below.
Monthly Available from any day of the month and expires one calendar month later.
Breaks in the journey are allowed and includes unlimited travel between the origin and the destination printed on the ticket.
Weekly Available from any day of the week and expires seven days later.
Breaks in the journey are allowed and includes unlimited travel between the origin and the destination printed on the ticket.
Zone B Yearly Only available for travel between Zone B stations and Melbourne.
Zone B fares are aligned with metropolitan Melbourne's Zone 1+2 tickets, so the Zone B yearly is the V/Line equivalent of a Zone 1+2 yearly Metcard/myki.
When myki is extended beyond metropolitan Zones 1+2 in 2013, Zone B destinations will become Zone 2.
Zone B locations
Train: Bacchus Marsh, Clarkefield, Donnybrook, Heathcote Junction, Lara, Little River, Riddells Creek, Wallan and Wandong.
Bus: Tooradin, Kinglake West and Fiveways.
