How to pay Depending on the ticket you intend to purchase there are a number of different ways you can pay.
Single and Day Return tickets Can be purchased online (Visa or MasterCard), at staffed V/Line train stations (cash, Visa, MarterCard or EFTPOS), ticket agents (varies by agent), train conductors* (cash only), coach drivers* (cash only) or by calling us on 136 196 (Visa or Mastercard).
*Please note conductors and coach drivers only carry a limited amount of change. Every effort should be made to pre-purchase a ticket before travelling on a V/Line train. On reserved services it is not possible to purchase a ticket from a Train Conductor or Coach Driver.
Commuter ticketsWeekly, Monthly, Date-to-Date and Zone B Yearly tickets can only be purchased online (Visa or Mastercard) or at a staffed V/Line train station (cash, Visa, Mastercard or EFTPOS).
