It’s cheaper than you think

 

$70.60 – that’s how little it costs for 2 adults and 2 children travelling to from Melbourne to Bendigo and back during off peak times, including weekends.

Your V/Line ticket is also a Metcard

 

If your journey begins or ends in metropolitan Melbourne, pre-purchase your V/Line ticket.  On the day, you can use it to travel on Melbourne metropolitan public transport from your front door all the way to your arrival station at no extra cost.

·         Explore the Chinese Dragon Museum (new window), home to the world’s oldest and longest imperial Chinese dragon, Sun Loong

·         Visit the historic Bendigo Pottery (new window) – Australia’s oldest working producer of ceramics

·         Explore the city’s heritage buildings and sites, including the newly restored Alexandra Fountain, the magnificent former post office, and the ornate Shamrock Hotel

Melbourne to Bendigo travel information

 

Trains between Bendigo and Melbourne run frequently (Timetables) and a one-way trip takes approximately 113 minutes.

Departing: Climb aboard at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station.

 

Route: Take in the scenery of Melbourne’s suburbs and western Victorian towns

Arriving at Bendigo station

Local transport

 

Local bus services depart Bendigo station from Bay 7 with special services taking you direct from the station to Bendigo Visitor Information Centre – a great starting point for your Bendigo adventure.
