Victorian Goldfields Railway Castlemaine - Maldon
Be transported back in time…
… with the Victorian Goldfields
Railway and enjoy a true heritage experience on board the steam train from
Castlemaine to picturesque Maldon.
Start your journey by jumping on a V/Line train to Castlemaine. From here, make
your way to platform 3 and the steam train.
Travelling in authentic wooden body carriages to the historic township of Maldon, you’ll be forgiven for thinking it’s 1909 rather than 2009. Maldon itself
is best explored on foot, with cafes and shops aplenty.
Please
note the steam train only operates on certain days – see below for more
information or visit vgr.com.au (new window) or call (03) 5470 6658.
