Sharp’s Magic Movie House, Penny Arcade and Fudge Shop

If you are planning to visit the historic Port of Echuca, make sure to pop into  Sharp’s Magic Movie House and Penny Arcade.

 

They have a rare collection of old gaming machines, including “love match” testers, strength testing machines, and the fortune teller, who doesn’t pull any punches in his prophesies. You could be told that you “talk too much”, “can’t keep a secret” or “lack in good sense”.

All day tickets. Adults $15, seniors $12,  children $10 and families from $45, includes pennies for playing arcade machines.

Getting there

 

Sharp’s magic Movie House is located at Bond Store, Murray Esplanade in the Port of Echuca on the Murray.

 

Echuca Station is an easy 15 minute walk from the town centre and Port of Echuca. There is also a taxi rank at the station, or local bikes are available for hire from the town centre or the Port of Echuca.

 

 

Catching V/Line there is easier and cheaper than you might think

 

$81.60 – that’s how little it costs for 2 adults and up to 4 children travelling from Melbourne to Echuca and back during off peak times, including weekends.
