Warrnambool, Great Ocean Road and Port Fairy Tours

 

 

A new range of day and overnight tours are available from Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village - Winner 2007, 2008 and 2009 Victorian Tourism Award, that make travel by train a great way to explore this most spectacular part of Victoria.

All tours depart from Warrnambool Railway Station. Your first stop is Flagstaff Hill, where you can explore this State Heritage listed site and maritime village.

 

Lunch is provided and there is time for you to explore the village overlooking Warrnambool’s Lady Bay.

Tours then depart Flagstaff Hill with options including the spectacular Shipwrecks and 12 Apostles Tour, or more localised tours that take in the highlights of Warrnambool and Port Fairy.

 

All tours connect with the late afternoon return train to Melbourne.

How to book

  1. Book your tour with Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre (new window) or call 1800 637 725. They will make a reservation for you and ask you to contact V/Line to buy your train tickets.

  2. Purchase your V/Line ticket by calling 136 196

 

Note: V/Line train tickets are not included in the tour or accommodation price and must be purchased separately.

 

 

Getting to Warrnambool with V/Line is cheaper than you think

 

From Melbourne to Warrnambool and back, it’s only:

$52  Full fare, Off Peak, economy return,
$26  Concession fare, Off Peak, economy return (Monday-Friday),
$37  Concession fare, Off Peak, economy return (weekend),
or

$104 for 2 adults and up to 4 kids using Family Traveller at off peak times.

Trains between Warrnambool and Melbourne run frequently (Timetables) and a one-way trip takes approximately three and a half hours.

 

If your journey begins or ends in metropolitan Melbourne, pre-purchase your V/Line ticket.  On the day, you can use it to travel on Melbourne metropolitan public transport from your front door all the way to your arrival station at no extra cost.
