Ford Discovery Centre
Car nuts and amateurs alike will find plenty to be enthralled
about at the Ford Discovery Centre.
With
displays ranging from a replica of Henry Ford’s first car, to the latest cars
in the range, all things Ford and motoring are covered.
Kids can jump on stationary bicycles to power-up a fuel-injection system, or
the electrics of a car, complete with blaring horns and flashing indicators.
And if you always wondered what goes on underneath the bonnet, several cars are
mounted above walkways, allowing visitors to check out the underside of the
motoring world.

Getting
there
The Ford
Discovery is located one block west of the Visitor Information Centre on the
corner of Gheringhap and Brougham Sts, a 5-10 minute walk from Geelong Station.
Catching
V/Line there is easier and cheaper than you might think
$25.60 – that’s how little it costs for 2 adults and up to 4 children
travelling from Melbourne to Geelong and back during off peak times, including
weekends.
This fare is calculated using the Family Traveller fare,
where up to 2 kids travel free with each fare paying adult. Conditions
