DrouinDrouin is a charming country town set amongst the rolling Gippsland hills.
The picturesque setting has given rise to a number of boutique B&Bs, looking after visitors who are keen to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The town comes to life in February for the Ficifolia Festival, celebrating the colourful flowering gum trees which line several of the town’s major streets. The festival features street vendors selling delicious local produce, musical entertainment, bric-a-brac stalls and a colourful street parade.
Gourmands will delight in the opportunity to try exceptional local produce in local restaurants and cafes, or by packing a picnic with a selection of tasty treats to enjoy in the picturesque Civic Park.
If you fancy a stretch of the legs, head to the Drouin Nature Reserve, which features three kilometres of walking tracks set within 14 hectares of natural bush land.
