Creswick
Creswick is a charming former gold-mining town, offering a unique blend of historical architecture, natural attractions and outdoor activities for visitors of all ages.

The town’s ‘golden’ history is evident in a number of historic buildings which line its streets.

Learn more about the history of Creswick with a Historical Town Walking Tour. Sites of interest include the post office (built in 1862), former town hall (1876), former Bank of NSW (1861) and several other public buildings and churches.

The town is surrounded by forests which means there are many different walking tracks nearby to explore, such as the John La Gerche and Calenbeen Park walking trails. The Visitor Information Centre can provide maps and information on the available trails.

Tour the Creswick Regional Park, including the 15 hectare Koala Park and picnic on the shores of scenic St George Lake, home to waterbirds and the elusive platypus.

For a change of pace, visit the Creswick Museum, which provides an insight into the major events in the town’s mining history. The Creswick Woolen Mill also provides tours where visitors can experience the last remaining coloured spinning mill of its kind in Australia.

Join in the festivities every October when the town gathers for a day of fun at the Creswick Forestry Fiesta, celebrating the town’s rich cultural heritage.
