Over 20 days of unforgettable eating and drinking, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne (2-21 March 2012) celebrates the city’s obsession with food and wine with an unparalleled gathering of one-off dinners, whirlwind tours and crawls, riverside parties, hands-on learning (and eating), foodie family fun and regional adventures.

Out of the city, restaurants, wineries, artisan producers and farmers across regional Victoria warmly welcome you to feast and forage at more than 100 events across the state’s eleven regions. Head regional and indulge in hands-on cooking classes with local chefs, wine tastings and alfresco lunches and dinners in the early autumn sunshine.

Getting there

V/Line has services to Melbourne from all over Victoria, taking you to Southern Cross Station, the city’s transport hub.

From Southern Cross, the easiest way to get around is by foot or on the tram. For tram information, go to the Yarra Trams website.

Your V/Line ticket allows you to travel on metropolitan trams, trains and buses at no extra cost. For more information see included metropolitan travel.

Tip: Travelling on V/Line during off-peak times is more convenient and cheaper!
