Racecourse Tours Behind the scenes tours are also available racedays. Departing from the Flemington Heritage Centre, state of the art multimedia experiences and priceless artefacts from the club’s archives bring to life the drama and excitement that is Flemington. Raceday tours include seeing a winning jockey being weighed in the mounting yard.

For a FREE Raceourse Tour, show your valid V/Line ticket at the Flemington Ceritage Centre on the day. The tours depart the Flemington Heritage Centre 30 minutes prior to race 2, 3, 4 and 5. Make sure you are at Centre five minutes before the tour departs. This offer is valid on race days only.
Getting there
Flemington Racecourse is located 6kms northwest of Melbourne's CBD - see it on Google maps.
V/Line has services to Melbourne from all over Victoria, taking you to Southern Cross Station, the city’s transport hub. On racedays, Metro trains operate special services to Flemington Racecourse Railway Station. For timetables, please visit PTV website.
Your V/Line ticket allows you to travel on metropolitan trams, trains and buses at no extra cost. For more information see included metropolitan travel.
Tip: Travelling on V/Line during off-peak times is more convenient and cheaper!
